This past Friday, September 23, Wharton Latino held its 20th Anniversary Career Conference! It's incredible to see how our club has grown over the years, and the event (the most significant one for the Corporate Committee) was quite a success. The conference consisted of two parts, the networking brunch and the career fair. The networking brunch brought together students and representatives from many of our sponsor companies to chat over delicious Latin foods, and attendees also heard from keynote speaker Gerardo Mato, Chairman of Global Banking for HSBC across the Americas. Mr. Mato spoke about his professional experiences, banking trends for the upcoming years in Latin America, and answered many questions from the audience. After, the career fair began in the Forum of Huntsman Hall. Attendees were able to meet and chat with many of our sponsors from a variety of industries to learn more about their companies and recruitment opportunities. Wharton Latino merchandise was also available, and many attendees (students and recruiters alike) particularly enjoyed the classic Wharton Latino pig! We hope everyone who attended had a fantastic time, learned a lot and met many new people! Stay tuned for more events from the Corporate Committee in the near future, but in the meantime, see below for some of the great photos taken by our Vice President Paula Pereira throughout the conference.
